Sugarpuss London have a wide range of bridal jewellery, including pearl bridal jewellery and gemstone bridal jewellery, all of which is handmade in our very own studio. Each item of handmade wedding jewellery is superbly crafted and either a one off design or strictly limited edition piece – you can even get us to design a piece of bespoke wedding jewellery, simply contact us at bespoke@sugarpusslondon.com (discounts can be applied for matching sets for flower girls etc).

We’ve supplied many brides with wedding jewellery now – and we like that feeling – we like to know that whilst the bride will probably only wear the dress once, she’ll be able to wear her wedding jewellery on many other occasions. We all know pearls are hot news right now and that classic styles are back in (thanks to influences like the new Coco Chanel film) and, with that in mind, if you’re after classic styled pearl jewellery then you really can’t go wrong with Mikimoto pearls. Established by Kokichi Mikimoto in 1893, Mikimoto pearls are, perhaps, some of the most famous pearls on the planet, made even more famous by appearances on shows such as Sex In The City, but it’s well deserved hype: Mikimoto almost single-handedly invented the process of pearl cultivation and it is said that only 3-5% of all cultured pearls are deemed worthy enough to bear the Mikimoto brand name, so if you’re a fine pearl jewellery lover then chances are that Mikimoto has something for you.

Generally the ranges are opulent and feature high carat gold and diamonds, such as the $2, 000 beautiful 18k white pearl and diamond earrings featured below, which we love as they remind us of a blossoming flower. If that price bracket is a little on the steep side, however, then you’ll be pleased to know that you can pick up a plain pair of 18k gold A grade 3-3.5mm pearl earrings from just $100. New Children’s Jewellery

In case you haven’t seen, we now have some fabulous new items in our children’s jewellery department, from a luxury opal mum and baby bracelet set:

All the fittings on our children’s jewellery are hand soldered for extra security and for a longer lasting fit, meaning that wearing the bracelets on the extension chain will not weaken the bracelet or make it prone to snapping off. Remember that we can customise any piece to your wishes or create something uniquely for you using our bespoke jewellery design service (gallery here) - we will always advise you if we think your design would be unsuitable for a small child.

Pearl & Emerald Baby Bracelet

The colour on these Columbian emeralds is just mesmerising – true green with a touch of blue, just what you look for in a good emerald (cheap Columbian emeralds are available but these are usually opaque, littered with inclusions and/or a very weak looking green at a more yellow end of the spectrum)… The Columbian emeralds used in our baby bracelet are IF to VSI (inclusion free to very slightly included) and are considered of excellent quality. If you wanted to ‘lux the design up’, we could even remake the bracelet with AAA grade Akoya (saltwater) pearls, however, the pearls used in the bracelet are AAA freshwater pearls and, as you can see from the picture, are luxuriously round, well matched & unblemished .

What else do we have up our sleeves? Well, we plan on introducing more luxury children’s jewellery (featuring pink sapphires and rubies), as well as lots more of the more affordable pebble pearl jewellery – including white pebble pearl bracelets and necklaces with silver butterflies & flowers, so watch out.
